Does Hell Truly Exist?

Hey all

So this may sound like a dumb question, but I have my reasons for asking this.

Does hell truly exist?

My reason is this:

I’m not extremely familiar with the bible but I know my way around it. I believe in eternal reoccurrence, which is also a teaching of the bible by the way (ECC 1:9) “that which was, is what shall be and that which is done is that which shall be done and there is no new thing under the sun”

(The bible seems to go around in circles too – but I’m not going into detail)

We are made of energy and anybody can tell you that energy can’t be destroyed.

I believe in the awesome power of “God”, because it is the one infinite power controlling our never-ending madness of death and rebirth, but somehow I can’t wrap my head around the over-exaggerated tale of hell, and sinners burning and being tortured endlessly in a pit of fire. It doesn’t seem to fit into anything.

Was this just a false teaching the Catholic church made up to control the masses with fear? If it does exist, could it be possible that it is located on another “place” on Earth (not a physical place – if you know what I mean)

I don’t doubt the existence of spirits and demons – I have way too many experiences behind my back to even doubt, but the typical thought of hell is just too far fetched for my liking.

Any thoughts?

Out of Body Experiences?

Hey all.

Firstly thanks CT for bringing this forum up after the last one went down, it really shows the dedication you have to people who need answers.

Secondly – let me start by saying that I am familiar with the paranormal but I need serious closure on something that’s been haunting me for a number of years.

When I was 5 years old all the way until I was 7 I experienced “waking up in my dreams” a lot, this would typically happen when I stand up to see myself lying on the bed. Everything around me would be the same way I left it. I always try to switch on the lights but they never seem to work. I would “dream” terrible things.

About 3 years ago I had the same thing but it haunts me all the time – only because it has never felt as real as it did that night.

I “awoke” and tried to switch the lights on, and to no surprise they didn’t work. I don’t even remember feeling like I actually touched the light switch. I felt overwhelmingly anxious and fearful. As I stepped out of my room into the passage, there was a man, all I saw was a knife in his morbidly distorted hand, he seemed to move in a sick, crazy and completely insane way. I remember feeling the uncontrollable urge to run as far as I could but I was restricted to the passage and the kitchen. I couldn’t leave the boundaries – it was just endless blackness out the windows. I looked at the clock as I sat in the corner of the kitchen, 2:15am. As I heard him coming around the corner into the kitchen I had the unmistakable knowledge of what his intentions were, to consume me.

I willed myself awake, feeling sweaty and extremely ill.

I looked at my bedside clock, 2:16am – a minute after the time I originally saw.

My question is this – was I just dreaming? Or was it as real as I think it was? Does this occur often in people?

The house has its paranormal problems, knocking coming from everywhere and nowhere, scratching sounds, shadows – we even have photographic evidence of a half-bodied apparition in broad daylight.

Is stuff like this even possible?

Are they the direct result of communication with spirit or psychometry or telepathically based?

What is the purpose behind visions? Are there different kinds of vision?

Is there a difference between daydreaming and visions?

Like Lisa, I get random images in my head so I thought this would be a really interesting topic to discuss.

Greetings all

First off, please forgive me CT if this is in the wrong post forum, but I have a thought. I’ve been poking around and reading this and that and it dawned on me, how do we really know if a ghost is a ghost, a demon is a demon and so on… which brings me to this. ET’s of another life form, could they take on different shapes and control our thoughts and minds?

I believe in God, I know our world and the human race didn’t just happen, MHO only :)… just like a Christian comedian, Mark Lowery said, suppose you took a Timex watch and put it in a bag and smashed it all to pieces, then waited around a 1000 years and shook it out of the bag, it would still be in pieces. So I do think that there is a greater one out there.

So, what if this was possible, could the spirits that so many experience are really not what they seem to be?

Many years ago, my daughter and I were snowed in at our place of employment. More than three feet of snow were on the ground, making it impossible to get home for almost two weeks.

When we finally got back, my daughter went outside to take some photographs (this was before the advent of digital photography) and noticed some large footprints in the snow that started in a certain spot not too far from the house, and went up a small embankment and stopped. None of the rest of the snow in the yard had been disturbed in the slightest.

What could that be? Thank you in advance for any response.

A few years ago, every night around the same time, my small child and I would hear a bell tinkling outside the window.

We live in a rural area with no neighbors, and it was incredibly perplexing. It sounded like a little hand bell.

Any ideas what this might have been?

I moved in a mobile home outside of Hinesville Georgia we had a roommate staying with us he and my son said there were ghosts in our home well I laughed at them then a couple months later my daughters bedroom door opened by itself she started getting scared. I laid in my bed talking to her then I saw this thing sitting on the floor with its legs bent its knees were by it’s head it had a long tongue and really long teeth. I was so scared I couldn’t move I got to the point I wouldn’t even go past my couch.

I wouldn’t go to the bathroom alone so I was home alone one day about 2 weeks later and decided I was going to take a nap. I woke up gasping for air I felt like I had fallen into my body. I laid there for a second and felt something tapping my shoulder there wasn’t anything there then I heard a growl across the room and there was the same demon sitting there staring at me with a long tongue long black hair his skin was grey he had black eyes and I really don’t know I was sitting there in fear but when my husband came home I heard the door open and when I looked back at the spot where this thing was at it was gone.

Can anyone tell me what this is or what it may mean? All I know is I’ve never been so scared in my life.

I have been having Incubus experiences since January, I was too scared to stop it. It would come to me as soon as I lay in bed.

At first I wondered why it didn’t come to me because I was getting used to it, and then on the Monday I started my monthly ‘gift’. But it’s not a heavy flow like it used to be, it’s just drips of blood. I usually tuck in my stomach when I exercise but I can’t tuck it in as much, it feels as though there’s a little body in there.

I went to the doctor and he pressed in, he looked shocked but didn’t say anything. Before this happened, I kept having dreams that I was pregnant and single. The child was always a boy with blonde hair, in the end the child would grow up to be evil no matter what I told him as a young boy.

Yesterday, when I was listening to music I could feel a hand touch my stomach but nobody was doing it. I felt comforted but when I felt that hand on my stomach, I would always feel a slight foot kick from inside me. I’m scared, if I’m not pregnant I would be relieved but if I am I don’t know what I’ll do, I do not have a boyfriend nor have I had intercourse with a human.
