Am I Hearing Voices Or Going Crazy?

I really do think I’m going crazy.6 months ago, I bought a house in a small rural area in Mississippi. It’s not very old, maybe 10-15 years old. No one has died in or on the property as far as the Realtor knows but the area is rich in Civil War history.

Now this is were I think I’m going crazy. I keep hearing voices outside my house. Mainly in the middle of the night between 1 to 3 am. They are not loud because I sometimes have to strain myself to hear what they are
saying and I still can’t hear them clearly! But when I go to see who’s outside my house talking, the voices stop and I don’t see anyone.

I’ve asked around about any skirmishes that may have taken place close to where I live or if there was any bodies buried in or around my home and everyone says no.

Now when I told my grandmother about what was going on,she said it was the “Weirding”, and it was my blessing and my curse. That the voices I keep hearing are the lost souls of those who have passed on.

Now I’m freaked! If this is true, what do I do to make it stop? I moved here to find peace and quite and now this? I’ve asked around to find help but no luck. Any ideas?

Is This An Evil Spirit?

Ok I’m not even sure if this is where I ask this type of question, I just stumbled across this website looking for some answers, can someone please give me some advice or insight?

This all started about 2 weeks ago, I went to my Grandpa’s funeral 🙁 and I’ve only been to the cemetery a handful of times (I’ve been really lucky and haven’t had to bury many people, my Grandpa was the first
person I lost that I was close to)

So a few days after the funeral I was in bed about to fall asleep and I felt someone touch my hand, I couldn’t move my hand, I couldn’t wake up my husband, and then I felt nails like fingernails and my hand was being squeezed. The next night (and every night since then) I fell an evil presence when I’m in bed at night. At the risk of sounding absolutely crazy I’m just going to tell you exactly what I feel. It feels like an evil man is standing above me while I’m laying in bed, it’s so hard to explain all I can say is I feel like it’s a man and it’s an evil scary feeling! 2 nights ago I was laying in bed with my hands on my chest under the covers (ever night I keep my hands and feet completely covered because I’m terrified I’m going to feel that again!) so with my hand under the covers my hands started feeling like they had NO circulation, they were fuzzy feeling, if that makes sense, it literally felt like there was no circulation in my hands.

Every night I dread going to bed, I stay up as late as I can because I get so scared. Also, my house is very old, not sure how old but I do know the people that lived her before us lived here for 60 years, to my knowledge nobody died here. I don’t get scared or any bad feelings at all until I lay down and all the lights are off but the TV. I pray and pray and lay in bed with my eyes closed because I feel like if I open them I’m going to see something. Nothing helps, I just eventually fall asleep.

Did an evil spirit or something maybe follow me from the funeral? I don’t really know much about this type of stuff so I don’t know where else to go.

I’m sorry I wrote you a freakin novel, I just don’t know what or where else to go.

What Made That Growling Sound?

About two years ago I went out on my rear screened porch to smoke a cig before turning in for the night. It was somewhere between 12:00 &  1:00 am.

As I stood by the table I suddenly heard a very deep growl from the corner of my home about 20-25 ft. away. The growl sounded like it was maybe even closer than the corner of my home. I snap my head to the right instantly to see what it was, and there was nothing there.

I knew instantly it was not an animal, it wasn’t that kind of growl. I have wondered many times what it could have been and have never heard it since. Any explanations?

Mysterious Scratches And Other Marks

This did not happen to me or my child but, my sister asked me to look into this for her. So here is what happened.

My sister was visiting a home she was looking to buy. Her 10 year old daughter went with her. They went to the attic to look around and her daughter complained of a burning on her back. She said to her knowledge she did bump anything or even touch anything that could leave marks.

She told me she checked her back and there were two scratches, what looked like several pinch marks, and what also looked like a couple of bite marks. She told me they were there for about an hour and when they left the house the marks had gone away.

She was going to take pictures to show me. Her husband wants to take the girl back to see if it happens again, but I told her I would be very careful.

I do believe in ghosts and I believe they have the ability to influence you mentally and physically. My fear is that is she goes back something much worse could happen or something can attach to her. The bad part is everything else about this house is everything they are looking for in a home.

What Was That Popping Noise And Flash?

This evening 27.06.14 I was simply in my bedroom straightening my hair. A normal occurrence for most women my age. The way my room is situated (it’s pretty small) when you walk in the door from the living room , there’s my bed straight away and to the left hand side of the room I have a desk that I use as a vanity.
Well, I was standing smack in the middle of the room between the bed and the desk looking at the full length mirror that I had propped up into the corner between the two.

So here I am straightening my hair like a normal being when all of the sudden I hear a POP! and then a flash. I wouldn’t have seen the flash if I hadn’t have been looking in the mirror and the pop was your standard ‘a light bulb just blew’ sound, so of course I immediately I turn around and poke my head out of the door and look up at the ceiling fan which usually houses 3 lights but I only have one in because it’s one of those crazy burn your retinas ‘efficient’ light bulbs. And there I am in my still lit living room looking up at the light bulb.

I checked ALL the light bulbs in my house and none were blown aside from one the fancy bathroom lights that’s blew about a month after I moved in (February 2012) and I never replaced it cause the bulbs are like honestly from the 90’s (as if that’s soooo old!).

Oh and for background info on my apartment, it’s not in a building I have a back and front door  it’s set up almost motel style there are 22 apartments that are set up in a horse shoe. The apartments  in the 90’s and early 2000’s were used as a Kiwanis property (elderly people who could still live on their own) and I do not have the entire history on my apartment alone.

Any ideas on what this could have been?

What Would Be The Spiritual Implications Of Such Technologies As Cloning Or Physical Immortality?

From what I’ve read, there is an interest for this and science progresses, keen to achieve them. I’ll ask questions about them, because what I’m writing about has deep spiritual and even supernatural meaning…

1)Cloning Technology

If we could clone people what would it mean? Do/Will clones have souls of their own? Will they be humans, like us, or just biological products? How would this affect religion?

2)Physical Immortality

There are articles and rumors. I even saw a TV show. Scientists plan to either stop our bodies from decaying or transfer our brains/consciousness on different supports(computers, robotic bodies, even virtual realities). I doubt this will be achieved in our lifetimes, but when/if this will happen, what would it be like? People will not die, so there will be no afterlife? Or is this a trick and our souls will still go to heaven/hell, while the things that get transferred isn’t really ” us”, but artificial intelligence forms, something that looks like us, but is non-human?

I know these are very hard questions, but I also know, based on my previous use of this and the other site, that there are people here who are really wise and know what they’re doing/saying!

Could There Be A Significant Meaning To Cross Pendant Falling Off In The Bed?

I have a gold chain with a cross pendant that I wear often. I woke up in the morning and realized that the cross pendant was missing. The necklace was secure with a lobster claw clasp.

I went up to my bedroom and the cross pendant was laying facing up where I lay in my bed. There is no sign of an open clasp, it is secure and I can’t seem any way in which it could have come off through the night.

Has anyone experienced this before. Could there be a significant meaning to this happening? It kind of freaked me out.

I am 17 year old girl and really interested in doing a Ouija board and I’m looking for advice on the safest way to do one – I do believe in the paranormal and the thought of doing a Ouija board scares me – but also intrigues me.

Sudden Increase In Shadow Movement Related To Traveling?

Hello all! So over the last few weeks, there seems to be a sudden increase in those pesky “Shadow People” passing by the corner of my eyes. It’s happened at home, at the grocery store, at work, and in the casino restroom I saw one pass right in front of my stall door but no one there when I opened it a second later.

I don’t feel fearful when I see one at all, just sort of a, “Huh oh hey what’s up?” type feeling. I’m wondering if this has anything to do with my upcoming trip around the world… I’m leaving in less than 3 weeks, will be gone for a year, and obviously, the stress level has been high. I know for sure my orb started showing up in pictures more recently, but it always does that when I’m in a time of stress or emotional happenings so that doesn’t surprise me. I’m really not sure about these shadow things though, and it concerns me because I always hear that shadow people are malevolent and scary (I know, I had a particularly angry one in my last house) but I don’t feel that way at all towards these.

Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas as to what it could be? Or possibly I need to go in for an eye exam? Thanks.
