What happened to me?

I’m 23 years old now, soon turning 24 and I remember a very distinct moment in my life. I tried researching this and nothing shows up, as if no one experienced the same thing I did?

When I was 4 years old, I remember exactly the moment I felt like I woke up. Not the sense of waking up from bed, but waking up and being alive. I remember right before I ‘woke’ up I was looking down at myself and saw my skeleton. Waking right after I saw my skeleton I kind of knew the names of my mom and my sister, but I wasn’t really sure how or why I knew there names. Like a reflex memory or something, anyway I just wanted to know what happened?

I have no memories prior to that day, and it wasn’t a gradual awakening, it felt like I was taking over this body and it’s a question that has been on my mind for 20 years with no answers.

Alright so, about 5-6 weeks ago, I was on my way home from a location about 3 hours away.

On my way back, I stopped off at three places.

1) A gas station (half way through the trip), I walked in and straight to the urinal and did my business. Afterwards, I walked to the sink and the faucet was on. I’m thinking to myself “What an ass, who does that?”

2) A fast food restaurant (two-thirds through trip), walked in and went to the urinal, Came away and went to wash my hands, the faucet was on. Again.

3) A grocery store, (finally back in town), had to go again, couldn’t really wait. Went to the restroom, single person room. This time, the faucet was on when I entered.

To be clear, at the first two locations, I do not recall the sink being on. There also wasn’t anyone coming in or out of the restrooms.

Fast-forward a couple of days, I’m at home. I go use the bathroom and go back to my room. The bathroom is connected to my room. This time I heard it running (though I don’t recall it turning on), so I opened the door – faucet on. How? How likely is it that three public spaces and my own home, the same thing has been experienced? All bathrooms, all sinks.

I told my lady about this a few weeks ago.

Yesterday I went over to her house. At one point she and I walked back to her room, passing the bathroom (no faucet sound to my recollection). We shared some dialogue, and began walking down the hallway back to the living room. You can only imagine my surprise when I heard streaming water. So I pushed the half-closed bathroom door all the way open, popped on the light. Sure enough, the faucet is running. I looked at her, she looked at me, both with accusing eyes, but we shared the same goosebumps.

I’ve done a bit of research and I’ve found nothing.

Could this be just an incredibly odd coincidence? Could it hold significance? Is there any symbology around it?

Other than sinks, I cannot think of any other odd characteristics. No sounds, no movements, no dreams, just those damned sinks.

I’m not being driven towards any negative thoughts about it, I’m just genuinely curious. I wonder if there’s any perspective out there other than what one might ordinarily consider another’s lack of observation.

So, before I was born apparently my parents kept experiencing paranormal occurrences like the vacuum turning on without being plugged in, drawers randomly emptying themselves in the kitchen, and other things of the sort while I was in the womb. When I was born (at home), apparently all of those things stopped.
I never knew of this growing up, but around the age of twelve that the things happening to me weren’t normal things that happened to anyone. I started to realize that the “haunted houses” that my parents kept moving into weren’t that way (usually. There were a couple that were beforehand) and that something was seriously following me around.

At first I thought I might just be schizophrenic, but about the time that I tried to pursue that course of help, a rapid succession of events in front of my friends and family members proved to them and me that there was seriously something going on.

Yet that was when I was thirteen and still relatively safe in regards to what would happen after that.

For the past several years my friends have reported seeing shadow figures and hooded figures following us on our walks together, whether day or night, that would vanished soon as they were pointed out. I’ve also been waking with bruises and cuts for a long time, but back in December I woke to excruciating pain only to find out that my ribs had somehow been detached from my sternum.

On top of that, my family keeps spitting my doppelgänger. Once, while I was in my room, my doppelgänger apparently checked in on my brothers while they were falling asleep. While I was at church another day, my brothers saw me standing outside our house, watching. The only other time that I know of was when I was doing the dishes and my sister watched me walk down the stairs and complained that I wasn’t doing my chore.

I’ve also noticed that I’ve been able to do other things that most people can’t do, like how electronics tend to malfunction while around me (light bulbs will act as though they’ve burned out as soon as I turn them on, but then work perfectly when I leave). A lot of people have sensed something strange about me, varying from a lingering energy that seems to never fully go away, to feeling just plain inhumanly strong.

There are other things going on, but I really need help figuring out why this is happening. I’m about to move out on my own here soon and I want it resolved before then. I don’t want to move out, become vulnerable, and have something kill me, you know?

I’m one of those people who could be called ‘a little bit haunted’ – for most of short life, I’ve seen and heard just enough to make me wonder about my sanity, but nothing incredibly tangible: I’d catch occasional glimpses of out of focus figures in my peripheral vision, I hear whispering voices, but can never catch what they’re saying, or I think I sense other people but can’t see or hear them at all.

I was wondering if there’s any way to ‘turn up the volume’ – an effective way to actually see and/or hear these things clearly.

I was just wondering how a person might tell the difference between, say, a vivid/lucid dream, sensations experienced during an episode of sleep paralysis or a hallucination and paranormal experiences (apparitions, entities, etc).

For another example, if someone were falling asleep, only to be woken by another person, and turned to find that they were actually the only one in the room – would they know if they hadn’t just dreamed the experience, and if so, how?

We recently moved into an apartment and have been experiencing some strange occurrences. From music randomly starting to play, waking up with scratches and bruises, the feeling of someone crawling into the bed, a black shadow coming at me, finding black ash in my bed, and some more strange things. The shadow felt like a burst of energy coming at me and kinda took my breath away. What could that be?

I couldn’t find any significance to finding black ash online, what could that mean or be?

We’re a bit freaked out about all of these things happening to be honest and would love some answers.

I went to the grocery store one night late at night, about midnight. While at the store there was a group of men, I noticed them because they were being a little on the loud side.

While checking out they were in front of me, I looked at one who was staring directly at me and his eyes were not normal. I looked away but I noticed that his eyes were almost a glowing neon blue.

After I was done checking out I went to my car, luckily I was parked up front but these guys were out in middle of parking and a couple of them started walking quickly towards me. I tossed my couple bags in the car and took off ASAP. Never forgot those weird eyes though…

Did he just have blue eyes or is that weird?
