Jacob vs God?

Ok… kinda back to ole Abe… Jacob… he wrestled with a man/angel… all night long… according to what I have read he saw God face to face… now… he was not struck down, but given a new name… which here is my question… if I was to see God face to face… I could not contain myself… I would have to go out and tell peeps… unless I felt to do so would be certain death… not sure about Jacobs mind at the moment… but this is God… Alpha and Omega.. The beginning and the end… in human form… before that of Christ Jesus.

WOW… can’t help it… it blows my mind… Enoch walked with him… God took him… Adam and Eve spoke with him in the garden… David danced before him and did the opposite of worshiping God on through the Bible as we read… but David was considered a man after Gods own heart…

And back to Jacob… fighting and sweating… and all the time all it took was just a touch to make him lame… and why before day light? And, finally given in… when God/angel? knew He could win? … is there a parable in this story? and so it goes…

Jacob Wrestles With God

22 That night Jacob got up and took his two wives, his two female servants and his eleven sons and crossed the ford of the Jabbok. 23 After he had sent them across the stream, he sent over all his possessions. 24 So Jacob was left alone, and a man wrestled with him till daybreak. 25 When the man saw that he could not overpower him, he touched the socket of Jacob’s hip so that his hip was wrenched as he wrestled with the man. 26 Then the man said, “Let me go, for it is daybreak.”

But Jacob replied, “I will not let you go unless you bless me.”

27 The man asked him, “What is your name?

“Jacob,” he answered.

28 Then the man said, “Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel,[a] because you have struggled with God and with humans and have overcome.”

29 Jacob said, “Please tell me your name.”

But he replied, “Why do you ask my name?” Then he blessed him there.

30 So Jacob called the place Peniel,[b] saying, “It is because I saw God face to face, and yet my life was spared.”

31 The sun rose above him as he passed Peniel,[c] and he was limping because of his hip.

Demon in My Head That Follows Me?

Ok, when I used this pendulum to use it. A guy at work told me about it for yes and no answers. So I used it to see if I would get my ex back. I got yes and so on.

Then I started to use it for a game I use to see if it works. Then made me pray and so on. I felt something weird plow in my stomach. I stood up and was like what the hell was that?

After a week or two I’m hearing a lot of voices in my head and got to know its a demon tricking me.

I started to pray because he told me what to pray to forget some things and now its like if you do that I wont be able to talk to you. Then he can still.

Anything else I can do or just ignore him?

I’m better at nights but in the morning til I get a little bit tired he doesn’t talk because I don’t focus on him. It’s hard not too.

What Is The Difference Between A Soul And A Spirit?

This is a question I have wondered about since I was a child. I have my own ideas and I have had people who tried to explain to me what they thought it was according to their church or beliefs.

I read in the Bible about souls and spirits but it just didnt seem clear to me. I used a concordance and read everything I could find with the words “soul” or “spirit”. The words seem to be used interchangeably almost.

I dont really comment or anything like that but I do read these questions and stuff a lot. I am hoping that someone could explain to me what the difference between a persons soul and spirit are – in a way that makes sense to me.

Who Gave That Spirit Permission To Haunt?

Question…

Sorry, but I’ve been thinking. Left brain at work again… I was wondering… what degree does a spirit that would stay here instead of going to heaven… and I do read and pay attention to answers here… I have read from my favorites… Free choice to not follow the light and so on…

But, if a spirit wants to remain for whatever reason… how can they do that when they are called to dust to dust and ashes to ashes?

You often hear about spirits going to the light, but does the light shine all the time so lost spirits can find their way? Or does it only shine at the point of death?

Why Do We Share Dreams?

Has anyone else experienced this kind of thing, no matter what the subject matter?

OK! This is what happened last night whilst Martin & I slept:

MY DREAM:

We were sitting in the cafe to the side of the gym, eating lunch with another one of the regular gym members. (We don’t actually know this man’s name, but he is Muslim and we refer to him as “Strong Aura” because, his energy kicks ass. He’s a Michael, for those of you who know what that means!)

OK! S.A. wanted to have lunch with us, because he was leaving and he wanted to make sure to say goodbye. Martin had bought him a ‘farewell’ card with a lion’s head on it with “Lion’s Heart” written on the front, as well as two books. The first book explained about the lion’s heart whilst the second was about the place where S.A. was moving to. Martin had folded over pages of interest in both books for S.A. to read.

Martin then made a point of saying the the Lions Heart was him and pointed him at some pages of interest in the first book to explain what he meant.

As we finished lunch and some other folk started to join us (I assume the same as in Martin’s dream below), S.A. opened the second book up at a marked page to reveal an aerial shot of the place he was going, stating “That is where I am going because that is where my Father is.” Although the picture was of a road layout, it actually looked more like the remains of a temple’s foundations.

I then gave S.A. a hug, told him he would be missed and to keep himself safe.

I then woke up and felt great grief consume me at the thought of his leaving. Weird really because, S.A. actually always puts me on edge, in the real world. He has got an extremely strong aura about him and feels quite intimidating (although he’s actually a nice chap and always helps Martin out)! Even his jacket left lying around unattended gives off the same energy – I always know it’s his, even before I actually know it’s his, if you know what I mean.

MARTIN’S DREAM

Martin was in the same gym as my dream, working out with S.A. Suddenly all those that he had known but had died came into the gym and stood around him. They then beckoned for him to go with them. But he didn’t want to go, so stubbornly refused.

Martin then woke up in a cold sweat, at the same time as I woke up, consumed with grief.

Cool, eh? So then, does anyone else share dreams?

Oh! Yeah! And if anyone fancies interpreting that one… Siddle?

Some time ago, I woke at early hours of the day after the night sleep and as I was in a state between sleep and waking up, I heard the words; “SOVEREIGN HEART”. It happened so fast and calmly, more like in a whisper.

Please can anyone explain?

Does Being An Organ Donor Affect Your Afterlife?

My aunt and uncle are donating their bodies to science when they pass away. I sometimes joke with them and tell them, ya’ll are so old all they will find is dust… like when they cut the turkey on the Christmas movie Chevy Chase is in with the whole family around the table and the turkey is so dry it just pops up and nothing there… now this may sound awful.. but, our family has a crazy sense of humor.

They are both Christians, very good people, proud to have them as my aunt and uncle, but, was wondering… would this cause unrest in the after life. I mean down deep it bothers me to think of them taken away and poked and examined by complete strangers, and I know the intentions are honorable.. But how do you think this will effect their after life?

My mom mentioned doing this and I just fell apart and told her I couldn’t have peace living and knowing she was off somewhere, talk about haunting my spirit, so, thank goodness she changed her mind.

Is Suicide A Form Of Murder?

Was wondering… I was taught that suicide is a form of murder to ones self… I don’t really know but this is my question…

If one was to commit this act… and I will be honest and tell you why I am asking… the young men who has gunned down innocent lives and then take there own… young children bullied and see the only way out is take their own lives… is this murder? Is this against Gods plan?

Is A Ghost Or Spirit Able To Cause harm To The Living?

I cant sleep right now because I have a very like awkward feeling of fear and in some spots of my room its warm and in others its freezing.

I was just wondering if a ghost or sprit would be able to cause harm to the living because I’m getting the very strong vibe that its evil or mad and I just wanted to pretty much know if I’m safe.
