Tingling At Time Of Loved Ones Death?

When my father took his last breath my wife was holding his right hand and I was holding his left. When he took his last breath, my wife and I both got a very strong tingling feeling up our arms and through our body. It was so strong that it felt like an electrical shock.

I have been asking for years and no one has had an answer. Can you help?

Hi John,

I am very sorry to hear about your father. I have twice had the same experience, only with my pets. I know its not the same thing, but its the same event. We felt the energy of the spirit of the person/being change, and in my case, pass right through me, when they died. Over the years I’ve had various ghosts walk through me, and its a similar sort of feeling, but not as intense.

Basically, you felt your dad’s spirit start his journey into heaven. While a very strange sensation for us, it is completely normal. Some people can sense it, many can’t. I think of it as a gift.

I read somewhere where a doctor that worked in a hospital felt the same feelings when a patient left this life. I believe that sometimes when someone passes, they try to give a signal that they are alright and that they relate to you that they are okay. When my oldest sister passed, I felt a squeeze on my shoulder.
