Can another entity stop us from going to Heaven?

Is heaven really all love and light? Does it have “darkness” within it? Is it really the perfect spot after death?
I really want something to look forward to when I die. I definitely don’t want to feel like I have to worry about something, I believe heaven should be a good RESTING place, not a place that you have to worry about things. But I will accept heaven as is for what it really is, whichever way it may be.
